Meet the Dentists

Timothy P. Bakelaar, DMD, Pediatric Dentisttim BPD

Dr. Tim hails from Brandon, Mississippi. He graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS, and from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 2001.    He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the University of Mississippi in 2002, and then completed a 2 year pediatric dental residency program at the University of Tennessee in 2004.  While at UT, Dr. Tim treated children in the  Mid South area at Crittenden Regional Hospital, LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Dr. Tim has been with Bartlett Pediatric Dentistry since 2004.

Dr.Tim was named one of the “TopDentists” in Memphis Magazine in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.   This is an honor voted on by dentists in the Memphis metro area recognizing excellence in dentistry. He is board certified in pediatric dentistry, serving as a Diplomat of The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Tim is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, and the Memphis Dental Society.

As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Tim’s special interest is taking care of the comprehensive dental needs of our younger patients.  He is licensed to provide in-office sedation, and he has hospital privileges at LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center and LeBonheur East Surgery Center.

He is married to Ellie and they have a young daughter, Abby. Tim enjoys sports and fly fishing.

Lauren Trammell

Lauren Trammell, DDS, General Dentist

Dr. Lauren is  originally from Milan, Tennessee. She is completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Mississippi in 2007, and  graduated from The University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in 2011.    While at UT, she was honored with the Pediatric Dentistry award by the faculty for the highest level of achievement with pediatric patients, and was an active participant in the Give Kids A Smile program.   She is an active member of the American Association of Women Dentists, the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, and the Memphis Dental Society.     Dr. Lauren’s special interest is the comprehensive treatment of children of all ages.  Dr. Lauren joined Bartlett Pediatric Dentistry in 2011.

Dr. Lauren and her husband Chip, have a young daughter, Aven. Chip is currently an orthodontic resident at the University of Tennessee.  Dr. Lauren enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with friends and family.

John Boling, DMD, Orthodontistimage

Dr. John is a native of Jonesboro, Arkansas.  He graduated from Westside High School, where he was named valedictorian of his graduating class.  He was an honors graduate of Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas.  Following college, he was accepted into dental school at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry.  During dental school, Dr. John developed his strong interest in orthodontics.  He graduated dental school with high honors, and was accepted into the Orthodontic Graduate program at the University of Tennessee.  This is a rigorous, three-year residency training program that focuses on all aspects of orthodontic treatment.

Dr. John is married to his college sweetheart, Shannon (Alexander).  Shannon is a nurse at LeBohneur who adores working with children.  He and Shannon are thrilled to call Memphis home.

Dr. John will be providing the highest level of comprehensive orthodontic care to all of our patients.

 

 

Chuck BPD

John Charles ” Chuck”  Page D.D.S., M.S.

John Charles ” Chuck” Page, D.D.S., M.S., is originally from Memphis and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin before attending dental school at the University of Tennessee Center For Health Sciences at Memphis. Upon graduation from dental school he entered the Indian Health Service, providing dental care for the Native American population of Oklahoma. Upon completing his pediatric dental residency at the University of Tennessee Center For Health Sciences at Memphis he entered private practice.

Dr. Page is married and lives in Germantown with his wife, Mary. They attend First Evangelical Church where Dr. Page has served on the Mission Board. He has also served for several years on the several dental mission trips to Central America and India and volunteers on a regular basis with the Bellevue Mobile Dental Clinic.
